What do you make of R² (Retro Remake) products?

Taki has the Mister Pi, in limited quantities/batches that is a cloned de-10 nano for MiSTERFPGA on a budget.

$180 gets you a full package with analog out, powered USB hub, 128MB SDRAM, and usb-c port to power it (and usb-c PD that comes with it) vs. barrel jack on de-10.

The 'real deal' costs like at least 2x as much if not more?

There is qmtech alternative that is another mister clone but on Ali and not as nice looking visually imo, if you can't get on Mister Pi.

He also has Super 5 in touch, no touch, and coming soon with hdmi out on Switch Lite. It's an OLED screen replacement for the washed out IPS one that comes with Lite.

Other stuff in the works is SuperStation : a psOne style case with a mister clone jammed in it.
There's preorders for Super7 IPS and OLED, drop in 7 inch screen replacements for v1/v2 switch.
And chatter about a mister clone handheld. maybe even other things in the works.

All that has shipped so far is Super 5 and Mister Pi to boot

He does seem stretched a bit thin, just announced JoyCon replacement shells to go along with the Super7 screen replacement. I'd like to see a bit more release before more is announced.

He does good updates on twitter though. I very much appreciated the honesty in his video on the SDRAM boards coming back with the wrong design and his pledge to add proper attribution to all of those boards before sending them out. I think there were some SDRAM speed issues on one of the early batches and from everything I've heard he made good on those too.

I am waiting on a white SuperStation or to see what kind of software the dock is going to ship with. The MiSTer project isn't built around using original games media (some devs even come across as being against it entirely, beyond the GPIO limitations), so it'll be interesting how they approach it- likely it'll just dump your disc to the M.2 drive but maybe it can do a little more?
