short vgame midi's

Post by Platypus[gEc] »

Hey guys.

All of us know that, if you want some video-game music, vgmusic.com is THE place to be for some vgame-midi's. But it does not really cater to what i'm looking for: short recognisable clips that can be used as sounds in windows or on my cellphone for example (the "coin" sound from SMB, or the "1up" sound are examples i found already).

Do any of you know sites that have those types of midi's?

Sorry, had to remove the link. As per Forum Rules, linking to copyrighted MP3s is a no-no.

Your query is, I think, within the limits, but Diabollokus posted a link to a site that broke the rules. That's the one I had to remove.

I've actually had pretty good luck with using M1 to rip sounds from MAME ROMs to .WAV files, which you can then convert from there with the appropriate tools (I have a PPC phone, which could probably use the .WAV files directly, but I convert them to WMA first.)
