AV Scart and Sony BVM

Post by RebeL9 »

I recently got hold of an old OG XBOX. It only got AV Scart (haven’t found component cables yet).
I tried to hook it up to my BVM 20F1E but I don’t get any image. Any settings that needs to be changed in the monitor menu?

You have to set the input configuration to whichever signal you're using.

The Sony BVM-20F1E supports RGBS and YPbPr natively with the input card that came from the factory. All other signals require separate input cards, with the BKM-21D being by far the most common and very useful (PAL and NTSC composite, YPbPr, RGB and SDI). Based on what you've said it sounds like you're using composite video through an RCA to SCART adapter, which technically you can use if you've got a SCART to BNC cable but in reality... Just use an RCA to BNC adapter if you really want to use composite. You can use RGBS from the Xbox however.
