Zathura.. Parody?

Post by ST Dragon »

OK, so I came across “Zathura” that is being played at the moment...
What is this? I've seen obscure spaceships before, but this?
I remember watching a similar parody movie called Jumanji, it sucked...
It's by the same author.

This shmup scene looks fun though ;)

Its Jumanji again only with an 'outer space' theme instead of a 'jungle' theme. The film's look seems deliberately retro, which is kinda neat.
The biggest unanswered question is where is the money? [1CCS]

That movie made my brain hurt.

Don't get me wrong, it was a fun little movie, and it'll now always have a place in my heart due to it being the last thing one of my best friends and I watched together before he moved to Texas...

But damn, one of the plot twists in that movie is STILL driving me crazy.

The "Deliberately retro" look to the film can be attributed to the fact that very little CGI was used in its making, which was the intent of the creators. I haven't seen it yet (I probably won't, I rarely watch movies at all) but it does seem somewhat interesting.

Don't listen to ST Dragon. He's a bonafide ragamuffin, if ever I saw one.
