Was browsing on Playasia.com and came across the Switch Taito LD Game Collection -- how's the gameplay on it?
I do recall that some Japanese arcade laserdisc cabs were exported/sold to the USA:
Stern with it's Cliffhanger arcade LD cab -- it was released in Japan as Lupin III.
Data East with it's Cobra Command arcade LD cab in the USA back in 1984 -- it was released in Japan as Thunder Storm FX.
Universal with it's Super Don Quixote arcade LD cab back in 1984 for the USA.
Funai with it's Interstellar arcade LD cab back in March of 1984 for the USA -- was released as a proper upright cab and as a rare deluxe sit-down environmental-based cab (Funai's "Interstellar: Zangus" was supposed to be it's proper sequel but am not sure if was ever exported/sold in the USA though).
Cinenatronics/Starcom with it's Dragon's Lair arcade LD cab back in April of 1983 for the USA (Starcom was a tri-collaborative joint effort between Cinematronics, Don Bluth Productions and RDI to bring DL to the American arcades in 1983 -- was considered groundbreaking and innovative for it's time during it's grand debut release).
MylStar's (aka Gotllieb) Mach 3 arcade LD game released in 1983 for the USA -- was released as both in an upright cab and the rarer sit-down environmental based cab with a front-mounted fresnel lense setup for that 'larger-than-life" overall CRT-based screen presentation.
Cinematronics's Space Ace arcade LD cab in 1984 for the USA.
Atari's Firefox arcade LD cab in 1984 for the USA -- was released as an upright cab and as a rare deluxe sit-down environmental-based cab (Atari used the same Firefox-based upright cab for it's Return of The Jedi arcade game in 1984 and the Hydra arcade game as well).
RDI's Thayer's Quest arcade LD cab endowed with a touch membrane based "keyboard" used to play a "Choose Your Own Adventure" type of RPG in 1984 for the USA.
Konami's rare arcade LD cab of Badlands in 1984 for the USA.
Sega's 3D Hologram based Time Traveler arcade LD cab in the summer of 1991 for the USA (was a joint collaboration between Sega and RDI). Sega released a second Hologram based 3D fighting game called Holocolloseum as an upgrade pcb kit.
Leland Corporation's Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp in the summer of 1991 for the USA (was a tri-collaborative joint effort between Leland Corporation, RDI (Rick Dyer Incorporated) and Nintendo to properly release DL2:TW in the American arcades back in 1991).
I know there were some other arcade LD cabs such as the rare Bega's Battle, Road Avenger, Freedom Fighter, Us Vs Them, Star Rider, Mad Dog MCree, Gallelger's Watermelon Smash, Astron Belt (using the 1978 cult classic sci-fi film "Message from Space's" fast-paced spaceship dogfight scenes as the main game) and others released as in the USA as well.

Road Runner was originally going to be a laser disc game from Atari, before finally releasing as a non-laser disc game under Atari Games. The laserdisc prototype plays similar, but has clips of Road Runner cartoons and there's no birdseed meter. Birdseed is still in the game, but you don't lose a life for missing it. It may still reset the score counter when missed, though. Odd thing is that the 2600 Road Runner was started in 1984 and released after the NES and still keeps some aspects of the prototype.

Maybe i'm not understanding your question but i'm guessing checking out some youtube footage would be the way to check out how it plays?
