Hi all,
I've got a NTSC SNES mini or SNES Jr. which has two mods that were performed by someone else (they were already there when I got it).
One is the dejitter mod and the other is the Super CIC mod.(I can provide pictures later)
When I got the machine it shows a wider than normal image like it's been stretched horizontally.
I'm using a PVM 15" monitor which is known good and a NTSC scart cable which is also tested elsewhere and a Super China edition Everdrive cartdridge which is also good.
Does anyone ever heard of this issue?
I don't know if the mods were performed as they should but it looks reasonably tidy..
Is there any installation guide I can cross reference to check if the mods are installed as they should.
Sorry if this is trivial but I'm not very familiar with retro stuff so I thought I would try my luck here.

I think I was not clear in my first post.
My problem is not that the image per se is stretched is like color bleeds horizontally like it's ghosting.
I tried the C11 capacitor ghosting fix but it's not that, I experimented with 100, 220 and 470nF.
I attached an image for the problem to be better understood.

Are you using the default S-RGB or a different video encoder?

Ι'm using RGB and the SNES has the RGB amp installed.
I applied the brightness fix (1.2k resistors to GND to the colors going into the amp) which didn't made a huge difference.
I changed the resistors to 750Ω which also didn't make a huge difference.
What I ended up doing was to essentially half the output side of the amp to reduce the overall brightness which was responsible for the smearing by placing 75Ω resistors in parallel with C42, C32, C22 as per the attached schematic.
I attached before and after pictures.
I don't know if this is an "acceptable" solution but that's what it needed to be done on my SNES.
Maybe the amp thing was a bit too hot for my monitor or whatever.
I'm open to suggestions on what I might have done better of course since most people seem to get away with just the brightness mod; I don't know what's wrong with my unit.
