I have made a test bench for my arcade PCB's and I've hooked up the GBSC to the JAMMA with RCA cables but I get a problem with possibly it being Sync as the debug message says:
"Source format not properly recognized, using fallback preset!", and "sync skipped sfr wrong: 507.14"
I have a video and pictures but I cant figure out how to post them here, do I have to upload them to a service first?
I was told it might be because there needs to be a 100 Ohm or 470 Ohm resistor, I found where to solder it its below where the 3 trim pots get removed and bridged, the resistor goes between pins 3 and 4 (out of the 8 pins) next to the VGA input, in a video he used a 0805 surface mount resistor but I have the room can a normal ceramic 1% resistor be used? Also I bought mine pre built and someone has removed the 3 trim pots but they have installed them on the other side, youtube videos say to remove them and bridge them should I do this too?
Strange Sync problems on GBSC AIO and parts removal
Re: Strange Sync problems on GBSC AIO and parts removal
Here is a link with how the arcade video looks when connected to the GBSC:

I have taken the GBSC AIO apart to inspect it and go over the wiring and so far it looks good like in the Wiki of the GBS but I have a "HCKJ 8200 V5.2 2022 05 28" version, I dont know if its the latest made version but it looks as though none of the capacitors have been upgraded as its said to do in the hardware mods library.
I am thinking of reinstalling the software in case its out dated but how do you find out what version is already on it?

Re: Strange Sync problems on GBSC AIO and parts removal
GBS Control is not intended for use with arcade boards. If you want to use the GBS-8200 with arcade boards, remove connection to ESP32, remove connection to clock generator if there is one, replace RGB trim pots, and undo all mods that are associated with GBS control. Sellers of these custom GBSC creations are assumedly modding stock GBS-8200's, so the original firmware should still be there and boot once you remove the ESP32 and clock gen.
Or, just get a stock GBS-8200, they're cheap enough, and use that GBSC for its intended use with consoles.
