Have you played the SGX-enhanced hack? That one doesn't pan vertically either (or have any sprite flickering). Too bad it's just an incomplete demo.

No, I wasn't even aware it existed. I'll look into it, but sounds like a shame it's not complete.

Would love to see this completed, it's one of the titles that always seemed like it should have been on there. Like Shinobi. Back to waiting.. probably forever.. for both projects.

The vert scrolling on the PCE never bothered me a bit, somehow BTW.

Oh, and yes, the music is unbelievable too. What they did with the percussion.. it's not that far off the feel of Complete CD to me.

Here's hoping they actually complete at a surprising pace - and the music is this inspired throughout.
