Crimson Clover question

Post by Gamer707b »

Hey all
as some of you may know, First Press has delayed the Switch release till Q3. I don't want to wait anymore and not till then. What is their policy on canceling pre-orders? Never bought from them before. Is it a hassle or pretty straight forward? I have emailed them, but haven't received a response yet.

I have sent email requesting for cancelation also.
Going by some reddit posts doesn't look good for refunds.

Still waiting for their Ginga Force + Natsuki thing that I bought like 2 years ago. I got tired of waiting and bought them along with Eschatos on PC like a year ago instead. Worst Press Games is horrible. Not buying from them again.

Actually, fuck all of these types of companies. They are all shit.

Yea, I rarely pre-order, especially years in advance. I don't mind paying a bit more for a game when it's readily available. I did get an answer from them this morning. I was told they will be processing my refund and it would take a week. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.. Worst case scenario, I'll go through my bank if need be. If they do right by me, then I'd love to do business with them in the future.

I placed my order in Nov 2021, so that will likely be two years *if* it ships in Q3 2023 as has now been changed to. I pre-ordered Paprium and waited over two yeears for Turrican Anthology from Strictly Limited Games, so I can continue to wait on this (forgot I am also waiting for a ZX Spectrum Next which has had a big slip!)

I think the main issue with these 'open pre-order' setups is they have to wait until they have enough orders in to hit the fulfilment quota. So they have 5,000 on open pre-order and I am certain they won't start shipping until they have sold out the allocation. I am sure Strictly Limited do this. Problem is for a niche release that isn't hugely advertised, it will take years to sell those 5,000 units.

Back to waiting...
