What is your most expensive shmup game you own?

I wish I can proudly say I own a cabinet maybe one day. But I'm curious if anyone here has any cool shmup games from a rare gem to a fully fledged shmup cabinet? Please share.

Most likely one of my Cave PCBs, but I'd dread to actually look up what the going prices are nowadays. I own those games to play them, not to sell them.

I think the one I paid the most for was most likely Ibara, being also the most "recent" purchase among those, but for all I know DeathSmiles, Futari, or something else might have overtaken it since.

I have most of my collection added to the "Gameye" mobile app.

Right now its showing R-TYPE III CIB as the top, but most of the time MUSHA (U.S. version) CIB sits as most expensive.

My "rarest" is likely not one of those. I have a sealed copy of the Limited Edition version of R-TYPE Dimensions Ex for the Switch from Strictly Limited Games. Only 2,000 produced.

I also have a CIB copy of the mail-away U.S. version of Power Strike for the Sega Master System. Can't be too many of those.

ofc any PCB will most often go over any console game in this thread. So I guess separating them would be a good idea.

On console, I do own a nice copy of Hyper Duel on the JP Sega Saturn. Even though this game may not be considered "rare" (just search for it on ebay, you can buy it), it always go for a high price.

For known monetary value, 1941 Counter Attack for SuperGrafx. I do also have that Slap Fight MD that Uemura-san signed for me, although I have no idea how much that is worth and will never find out. I can't imagine that there are many signed Slap Fight MDs around, though. I am hoping to get my Slap Fight PCB signed by the entire dev team, so it will probably be that eventually, though, and I also will never find out how much that's worth either, as I will NEVER sell my beloved Toaplan games.

I bet on all the wrong horses. Sold my batrider, retained soukyu brave blade, and dimahoo--the least expensive raizing arcade games? Skipped a lot of cave pcbs when they were still cheap and available everywhere. Sold most of my saturn collection, kept the master system games. Bought mostly stv carts for my cabinet.

A failed relationship did for me. A Neo Geo collection I sold for about 6 grand in approx 2014 would now buy me a decent family car outright.

Hm... You know what, I actually have no idea.

I thought I knew about prices but when I think about it it's been years since I sold anything so I haven't got the slightest idea what today's prices look like. Except for Harmful Park, because I've been wanting to buy that one since I started playing shmups and for obvious reasons I haven't been able to afford it...

Here's my collection, if anyone recognizes any expensive ones please let me know! All of them are complete where applicable except for the PCB.
Any treasures? I dunno!

If I look at what I paid for the games then the ESP Ra.De. PCB is the most expensive, I paid the equivalent of $80 for that.

A CV1000 Saidaioujou sold about a year ago on these boards for $10K US. That said, I doubt anyone has any clue as to how much the super low print run boards (such as competition variants or Akai Katana Consumer Edition) are selling for. More than likely they are all being bought and sold through private sales.
