Retro Vision SNES cable - No picture

Post by neorichieb1971 »

I noticed this cable goes for a shit ton of money now, but mine never worked except for the first 5 minutes of having it.

The connectors on the Nintendo AV plug do not touch the pins in the console. If they do, it flickers on and off because with a bit of force it does touch, but only just.

I have a XRGB scart cable that I cannot use anymore (It works because I had an XRGB2 years ago) so was wondering if I can just switch it out. I believe the magic of the HD retrovision cables is in the centre part of the cable, not near the console end so it should be a case of snip, join wires up, wrap the cable with heat shrink or something.

So will this work? I live in the UK I don't want to send it back unless I have to, but I might as well write to them as well see what they say.

Thanks.

I think that should work! Just note that they use composite video for sync on their SNES and SEGA cables (might wanna double check but I’m almost certain about that)

What does the XRGB cable use for Sync?

I can't seem to find a contact for HD retro vision, their website seems to not have one.
