Best Newer shmups/Re-releases/remasters of older games?
Heya folks, I have been lurking for ages, figured id finally post! What are some of the better more modern shmups/remasters of stuff we didn't get here? (usa, stuff like games for FM Towns and x68000, Japanese Saturn releases) I am very familiar with modern pc titles (cave pc ports, cotton remaster, stuff like R-Type Final 2) Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, and a handful of well known sega stuff like radiant silvergun, Basically I feel like and know I am likely overlooking a ton of great stuff! Thx for any info, and happy Friday yall!

Gleylancer is one of the best Genesis shmups, its newbie friendly and has recent ports, and can be had for a few bucks.

Everything that's part of M2 ShotTriggers.
I also remembered something so obvious that I shouldn't have forgotten about it: Arcade Archives has the good (Japanese) version of Xexex, among many others.

There are still some Saturn/PS1 games that didn't get a Western release.
Raiden DX and Soukyugarentai are 2 examples. There's the Parodius games too - don't think they got a US release ? (We got some of them in Europe).
