Planning ahead for the benefit of poor'uns going around tiny Europe with Ryanair (i.e. me for instance): how about a shmupmeet on April, maybe the 23-24 weekend? I should be in Cambridge for personal reasons the prior two days (i.e. 21-22nd), so i'd like to pop up in good ol' London to have a few rounds of arcade shmupping and place the WR on Raiden III

I eagerly await for your replies, of course

Easter (whenever that is) is the best time for me, as I'll be done with the second semester and can spend it relaxing. I could bring Ibara, Brave Blade and/or Xexex JPN ^_^

Seems that this time some italians are interested (me, Neverland, Raiden Fighters 2, JCK and BR1 for the moment)! So I say, first of all, let's decide some precise days. Then, how about the hotel DEL? I know you have a good friend...

About games: it would be great to have Mushi, Ketsui, Progear, DDP, Esp Galuda. We can show good thigs at these games! I know that Mushi and Progear are already in the Casino Arcade, is it right?

I stayed at the hotel of DELs friend for the last two London meets and can recommend it.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it to the meet this time. Shame, I'd really have loved to see Rando perform. Well, maybe next time.

Personally, i propose 23rd and 24th of April, Saturday and Sunday, i remember Neverland saying neo-geo.com that week-ends are the best solution (for everybody, i think

). I would propose to decide after the first of February, though, personally i really need to wait and get a confirmation of "things to do" in Cambridge, first.

For Herr Schatten: sad to hear that, but i bet there will be many other times to have a good time together, no?

RE: The games you listed. ill6 brought EspGaluda down and we've already installed it in Casino Arcade. Progear is still there, playable without all the colours. Mush is there but the autofire circuit doesn't produce C Banking

. Of course I'd like to see Raiden Fighters 2 on Ketsui - so we'll see about re-installing it for the Meet.
I've put A.P. Batrider in the good sitdown cab for the purpose of Advance Course ALL.
Raiden III is in Trocadero for Rando to take off the ID4 ALL that is already in the saved HI-Sc list

@ 1.65mil.
There's also a Strikers 1945 in Trocadero for Mills to do the obligatory 2 Loops.

They should put the Progear on a different cab just for the meet; its such a nice game.

its nice to see galuda in casino, im happy to finally be able to play it in the arcade on a decent sized screen.

masamune - I was at the ATEI show too, there haven't been any shoot'em ups there for the last 10 years. I went to meet people only. Dance Dance Super Nova really Pumped tho!
I'll try to get the Progear installed in the Knights of Valour cab (as Pete has been TOTALLY unappreciative of my efforts to put it back in for him).

There may be room for 1 more PCB to be put in Casino before the (proposed) Meet. The problem is the state of the monitors, Bob will have to replace at least a couple of them.

Well, seeing how things are going, the best solution for us is 21-22-23, with the meet saturday (22) and sunday (23), if Rando can be there only on sunday. Or is better sunday only? This can be problematic for us due to the fact that we must leave that day.

Small Casino Update

The Raiden Fighters Jet Monitor in Casino has now been fixed. We may use this cab for the re-installisation of Ketsui.

For the benefit of VS players - I asked the Casino Boss to get Tekken 5 Dark Ressurrection in, and he has. This may be of interest to Ex_Mosquito

Well, sad news

Some of us are students, some of us are saving money for Japan so... We can't be there. I don't want to travel alone, but there's a little possibility for me to join two other friends (not players), but at this point who knows. I'll keep you informed in the case.

Current list of games in Casino and Troc:-
EspGaluda, Mush, A.P.Batrider, RF Jet (screen fixed now), ST1945 Plus, Progear (crappy screen), Raiden III, ST1945.
If anyone wants something changed/installed ie. Ketsui/Ibara etc = Say so Today! Last chance to change things is tomorrow.

Small Meet - Rando, Mills, elbarto, me. Unless anyone else cares to come down and meet The Big Cheese

Timings on sat are uncertain, depending on what time Rando arrives in London from Cambridge. Rando's due to stay at my place on Sat night & Games Day is most likely to be Sunday.
Still to be confirmed...

Ok, ARC has very kindly offered his Ketsui board for the Meet. Bob the engineer will definitely be down the arcade today & maybe next friday evening, so we've gotta catch him ASAP.
Ketsui will go back in the best sit-down vert cab (replacing Batrider).

^Well that's what I'm trying to do. ie. Offer games in the arcade that have no console port or Mame Rom. (One of the advantages of an arcade).
