DE10-Nano, a cheap site to buy? (for the Mister FPGA)

Anyone shop here before? I'm tempted to make the leap.

That's a DE0-Nano, the MiSTer requires a DE10-Nano.

Mouser.com has it for $135 and in stock, that's probably the cheapest you'll find it unless you're eligible for the academic discount on Terasic's site

Roger yeah wound up grabbing the DE10-Nano off Mouser, thanks.

I corrected that real fast after reading this, good sounding the alarm bells!

So far I've got the Blisster from Bliss-Box, 128 MB of RAM off of Ebay, and the DE10-Nano.

EDIT: My questions pertaining to the BlisSTer case were addressed.

I ordered mine from Mouser as well. Terasic's shipping was so high that even with the academic discount it was more expensive.

I see QMTech has an inexpensive clone board in the queue. Looks like we'll need to buy them for DIY builds.

The speed grade comment feels like FUD.

I have no idea what the quality of this QMTech clone board will be, but the speed grade of the DE-10 Nano is i7. This "slowdown" concern doesn't make sense. I don't see any credible reason to believe the DE-10 Nano i7 rated Cyclone 5 will perform like a grade six, as they are clearly rated as an i7. While it's technically possible the a7 could introduce issues, it seems unlikely. It appears QMTech was able to souce the automotive chips for less.

While it's true that the DE-10 standard is a grade six, the official supported board of the MiSTer is the DE-10 Nano.

The speed grade of the Intel Cyclone V SE 5CSEBA6U23I7 FPGA on the DE-10 Nano is i7. An automotive a7 should be a seamless replacement. I wouldn't worry about "slowdowns" or crashes due to speed. Seems unlikely.
