What do you guys think about this game? Anyone has written a review yet? It seems to me that these guys are doing things right:

Also, I am new to the forums and am wondering how to make the youtube video appears on the page rather than a plain link.

Haven't played it, but the Exa platform is controversial around here.

Opinions range from:
Team Exa is doing God's work, saving the struggling arcade market 8)
...to...
$5 cellphone games ported to PC in a box being sold for $4000 a pop

People who've played it seem to like it a fair bit, but there's very few people with access to it. Exa's shmup releases have been more or less ignored here; the forum is less enamoured with the arcade world than it used to be. And Aka to Blue's dev ban on videos probably killed what curiosity most console and Steam players had.

I don't think there's a way to embed youtube videos on this forum.

I guarantee you there are no operators saying this. Until this system gets something - ANYTHING - with even a moderate amount of mass market appeal that isn't a port of a Steam game, this system will not be doing any saving. I've invested $6000 into it and at this point I've made my peace with the fact I'll never make that money back; after this pandemic, I might not even have an arcade left to put it back into.

Yeah Arcades have it rough for sure.

A&B Type R is a cool game though! Havent spent too much time with it but patterns feel unique and fresh, with some influences from tohou and cave games. Very dense patterns.
Liking being able to play a 16:9 game in vert and fill up the screen. V1.2 controls real well also. Very low lag.

Looking forward to playing this a lot more once I’ve gotten tired of SDOJ.

Even though this sticks a toe into off-topic territory, could you elaborate on this a little?
Aka to Blue Type-R is obviously a buffed up and content-enhanced mobile game, but let's assume that it wasn't - would a game like that have any chance to make money in a contemporary arcade? What are, in your experience, the games that actually have mass market appeal and still run on "classic" stick-config cabs (and not music cabs or light-gun boxes)?

I would really love to hear your thoughts on this, given your unique position.

Thanks for the info guys, I thought it was on PC. EXA thing doesn't seem an option for me, I will try to get the game on mobile.
