I recently got a D-Series Tv for retro gaming and I want to make sure I’m setting it up correctly.
My setup is an old 3GHz Dell with a GTX 745 that has DVI, HDMI, and VGA running Batocera (Linux Retroarch). I read somewhere to get a HDMI to Component converter, add super res 2560 modelines, make the appropriate edits in Retroarch and G2G.
Here’s the converter I have:

CRT switchres seems to be working the picture is much better. However I feel like it could be better. Xrandr still shows the resolution as 1280x720 but also shows the added modelines based on what game I load up (I.E. - 254x224 15Khz 60hz).
Also, the converter is showing 1280x720 in / 720x480 out. So it seems like whatever res it switches to, this converter is still scaling it to 480i. Am I correct? If so, would this converter serve me better https://www.ebay.com/itm/174166352619 ? Or is there another way or extra step I need for this hdmi setup?
