Hi all
I could really use some help as this has been a really frustrating evening.
I am trying to stream RGB using my Startech USB3HDCAP via the VGA/DVI port. I currently have a SNES plugged into a gscartsw and I'm using the first (SCART) output to go to my TV (picture looks fine), and routing the second (VGA) output into the capture card.
I am getting a black screen, both in StreamCatcher and OBS. It does seem to at least recognize that the console is on...it raises up to almost 60fps at the bottom while on. When I turn the console off it starts spinning the wheel so SOMETHING is being received.
Can anybody here with the same setup guide me in the right direction? I assume there is some sort of setting software wise that I am not doing right?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance all!

Re: gscartsw + usb3hdcap issues
I was looking at capture cards last week that could take analog RGB. I don't have this card myself so I'm sorry I can't confirm anything.
Let's rule out the easy part first. You know this but in case non-tech person comes here, description states:
But I think your problem is the drivers. Fortunately, this is a popular card so issues have been discussed. Can see Reddit talk that links to shmups thread for the more expensive Micomsoft SC-500N1 card. They share the same chipset and can use the same drivers. Seems you want older 1.0.140 driver for RGB input. The thread specifically discusses the PCIe version of the card. Let me know if the drivers aren't compatible with the USB version.

Can check in Windows Device Manager which USB types you have.A computer that supports USB 3.0 or higher is required. This product will not work with USB 2.0 or 1.1 controllers.

^ Yeah, I am willing to bet the drivers are your issue... fingers crossed that they are! Shmups user FinalBaton has some drivers that should work, they’re in the Xcapture thread which should only be a few pages back in Hardware
