Matrix advice for some display issues

Post by GeorgieBoysAXE »

Hey all, was wondering if I could get some assistance. I'm thinking about new box options with Matrix capabillities for my JVC AV-27230 set.

The reason why is that I'm using an Extron Crosspoint that's loaded with RCA adapters for HD Retrovision cables, however, it would seem that I can plug in my PlayStation One console as the sync gets muddled & lost, or my RGB modded SNES, as it doesn't seem to sync at all.

I know it isn't an issue with the consoles/cables because they output perfectly either when plugged directly into the TV set, or when plugged into a Monoprice 103027 4-Port Component Video Switch with IR Learning unit. I'm thinking I may not be getting the right sync from these two solutions & that I should get a SCART cable with sync stripping plugged into my daisy chained SCART switch through my Shinybow SB-2840 SCART to YPbPr transcoder that's being ran through the Same Crosspoint Matrix with HD Retrovision Male-to-Male Component Cables.

The only other option I was considering should the idea I proposed earlier be a dead-end is simply migrating everything to a GCompSW, including my Extron Crosspoint for S-Video. In which case if I DO go through with, would I be able to use these Blackmagic Intensity Pro S-Video Breakout Cable S-Video To Dual RCA Cable Adapters in the setup—basically asking if anyone has had any experience with them, & this idea would work?

Any advice would be great, sorry for the crazy long post! https://ibb.co/1RgK6Bg
