Morning!
So some months back I bought a heavily used CPS2 A+B board set. The deal was great I thought but the case came cracked (inadequately packaged) and there is corrosion and suck on the sound RCA jacks, dust everywhere. (I have another post wanting to buy a new CPS 2 B Board Shell)
I am ordering a new, more quiet fan. I figure I should clean the boards when I take it apart. How do you guys recommend I clean it? I ordered Isopropyl Alcohol 99% and I have Q-Tips. Any thing else I should know? Can I scrub gently with a toothbrush across the whole thing?
I am pretty sure the battery is old too, but I don't trust myself to solder on a new one. I am just debating a few mods... HDMI out (damn expensive), Darksoft Kit (expensive but worth it), infinitkey to prevent suicide...
Lots to think about... what are the most recommended Mods?
So I guess two topics: 1) How to clean, and 2) what are the most important mods?
Thanks!

Infinkey or arduino nano key writer are good investments.
I use one of these to clean pcb's. Using it to vacuum with the brush attachment works well to get heavier debris and most surface dust off.

If you want to get more of a factory shine, others may have recommendations including simple green, pcb cleaner, a toothbrush, etc.

I posted in your other thread, but now that I read this, here is what I would do:
Buy a CPS2 multi kit and Jasen's customs metal enclosure. It can take a bigger, better, quieter fan, combines the two PCBs and you can skip plastic cases.
