I bought two 8BitDo controllers for my TG16 mini (PCE version and CoreGrafx version). I've been super happy with them for the last few days, but suddenly tonight both of them starting acting up -- missing inputs and suddenly making random movements on their own. I tried swapping between the two that I have and both were having the same issue at the same time, despite working great for the last week or so.
I'm wondering now if I have a neighbor who is also using a Bluetooth controller of some sort that's interfering with my own? It seems unlikely that both of my controllers are defective, as they have otherwise worked flawlessly. I don't know if this a product-specific issue or if this is a known thing with Bluetooth controllers in general.

Re: 8BitDo Controller interference issues
I don't know if it's related but I never could use two of their bluetooth SNES controllers on the SNES. Even if I was only actually using one controller with the 2nd one turned off, if both receivers were plugged into the console it caused erratic input behavior.
Re: 8BitDo Controller interference issues
The 8bitdo PCE/TG16 Mini controllers are not Bluetooth, they're 2.4 GHz. 8bitdo makes both kinds, the Bluetooth controllers have broader compatibility while the 2.4 GHz ones have less lag and normally better connections. These are 2.4.
Make sure you have updated the firmware on both the controllers and the receivers (they each have their own firmware). The TG16 controllers appear to have just come out (they still show up as pre-order on their site), so there may not be a firmware update, but you can try anyhow. They have a new unified firmware update tool where you just plug the device in to your computer and it identifies them and tells you if there's a firmware update.
Perhaps try re-pairing your controllers with their respective receivers. Or just try one of them. It may result in them getting put on different channels and solving your interference issues. You can find the manual with instructions on that here: https://download.8bitdo.com/Manual/Cont ... amepad.pdf
EDIT: You should also be able to use the controllers wired with a USB cable, IIRC. Kind of defeats the purpose of having them wireless, though.

Re: 8BitDo Controller interference issues
I have the same problem- except not on the SuperNT. SNES Jr does though. I bought a controller extender and moved the receiver another 6" away and all was good. I may have the problem with the SuperNT as well but it's not near as bad.cr4zymanz0r wrote:I don't know if it's related but I never could use two of their bluetooth SNES controllers on the SNES.
