I have a Silicon Optics Image AnyPlace which seems to work great in all output resolutions EXCEPT 480p. 480p seems to have wavy, pixelated artifacts along vertical lines on my monitor on both dvi and vga. Also, my television cannot display any signal from the AnyPlace.
I wonder if anyone has any idea why there would be artifacts that affect ONLY 480p. It is my understanding that 480p bypasses the fpga video processing but it still is not clear to me why this wouldn't affect any other resolution.
The entire point of me purchasing this image processor was to output 480p so I could use an mcable or a scanline generator and being forced to output 720 is preventing me from achieving this.
I haven't yet taken it apart to look for bad capacitors etc. and I will if nothing jumps out at anyone.
Thanks.
