My PC Engine Duo-R has been suffering from video dropouts that have gotten significantly worse over time. The system has been RGB modded and region modded. The issue occurs on both the CD side and the HuCard side, but seems worse with CD games. 9/10 times when I have the console hooked up to the XRGB mini it will not get a lock onto video signal. If I constantly turn it off and on again it will eventually, but the slightest knock or touch of the console will cause it to drop it. This made me thing it was a loose connection, but I've triple checked and I can't find one. I even replaced the do it myself RGB mod with a premade board and redid all the connections and nothing. I've bought a new cable, nothing. I use that same cable with the NES RGB mod and it works perfectly. I don't have a composite cable to test another connection.
Any ideas?

Has it ever been recapped?

What RGB mod is in there? Can you take pics?
Re: PC Engine Duo-R Video Dropouts
Do you have a CRT to test it on? Rule out the XRGB.
Do you have the standard component cables I assume the RGB mod uses comp sync could be worth checking that?
Hopefully it's not the HuC6270.

Re: PC Engine Duo-R Video Dropouts
To me, the fact that he can just barely nudge the console and it drops the image sounds like a cold solder joint. It also might need a recap if that hasn't been done yet.
Re: PC Engine Duo-R Video Dropouts
Sorry guys forgot I posted this.
The original mod was a THC mod I created myself. I rule out the possibility that I fucked it up I then replaced it with a prebuilt mod. I can open it up and take pictures. I cannot remember if I recapped it. I'm wanting to say I did because I was having this problem a year or so ago, but I'll have to check. I've resoldered the connections to the video output as well thinking it was a bad joint making an intermittent connection. It certainly acts like that, but I can't find the connection to save my life.

Try adding a couple extra ground points to the board.
