Does anyone know of a source for playstation AV connectors for making cables with? I know that HD Retrovision did a lot of legwork trying to find some that weren't too tight and settled on using the tight ones with a few pins removed. However, short of contacting a factory in China, is there anywhere to purchase these connectors, even if they are a bit too tight? Right now the only thing I can think to do would be to get some cheap SCART cables and scavenge the connectors. However for these to be cheap they will take forever to get here, and I don't even know if it is possible to open the plugs on these. I have used the monoprice PS3 cable connector, but the cable is $7.23 and currently out of stock.
If anyone has any ideas or has tried some cables with success please reply here.
EDIT: Also wii connectors. This is why I had looked at the monoprice cable before as it includes both of these connectors, making it somewhat worthwhile at $3.12 a connector. Just wondering if there are better options out there. Thank God Sega used Din connectors for everything pre-Dreamcast and bless HDRetrovision for selling Nintendo connectors.
While I'm asking if anyone knows about Dreamcast connectors that would be cool but not a priority. Thanks!

Re: Playstation AV Connectors for RGB Cables
Ok so the replies here were lost due to a server error, but they said to ask retro-access about her 3D printed plugs, and that for most cases you can buy component cables cheap and tap the side of the connector with a hammer to split the connectors open.
I contacted retro-access, and she replied that her 3D printer doesn't print at high enough volume to sell the plugs, but that she had thought about it. The 3D printed playstation plugs are really only for when there needs to be capacitors in the connector end, i.e. BNC cables. As for the normal connectors, they come from China. I can only surmise that you would need to contact a factory that sells component or SCART cables and negotiate buying the connectors alone, which would likely require a large order. I emailed Luke from Console5.com to see if he would be interested in finding a way to stock them, but unless that comes to fruition I will just use cheapo component cables.
Thanks for everyone's input. Still don't have any source for wii connectors other than, again, buying component cables (I believe the monoprice cables have all pins populated).

Retrogamingcables.co.uk make their own I think. Since they have their branding on it.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Everything from retrogamingcables is overmolded - the cable is soldered to the metal connector and then rubber is melted and molded over the plug. Not something they can sell for people to use on their own cables. Rob has talked about it on his interview with RetroRGB and also I think there was a video on their twitter quite a while ago showing the process. Very cool, but not applicable for small scale.neorichieb1971 wrote:Retrogamingcables.co.uk make their own I think. Since they have their branding on it.
