Hi guys, I've recently built a retro pc rig that runs windows 98. My plan is to capture retro games via the Xcapture-1 VGA port. I've however run into a problem, I can capture the pc fine doesn't seem to show any problems however when I try to run a DOS game I lose signal and get the audio all slowed down an distorted. Sort of like it's trying to capture. I was wondering if anyone could help me? maybe its due to windows 98? If I run a non DOS game its fine
Any help would be appreciated I was meant to use this tonight but I might have to hold off if no one can help :S

1. What software are you using to do the capture?
2. What driver version are you using for the XCAPTURE?
3. What are the device settings you’re using?

OBS, however, I've tried multiple its the same on all.

Latest
3. What are the device settings you’re using?
Set to VGA, rest is defaults. I've tried changing every setting and nothing still.
4. What games are you capturing?
My benchmark game is usually Duke Nukem 3D. however, I've tried other dos games as well, for example, quake, LSL, King's quest

Re: Xcapture-1 DOS Gaming Capture Problem. Urgent help neede
I know anytging that runs in a VESA modeline like 640x480 will work fine, but standard DOS modes on the PCIe cards as well seem to not work, due to their 70Hz refresh rate. Any 60Hz or standard mode like 640x480 and up will work. But 60Hz modes of any kind in DOS will work fine. Examples include in-game for Epic Pinball and Jazz Jackrabbit.
