Hi Guys,
I have this monitor hooked up via BNC cables to a RGB 201 RXI and my PC, I just need someone to confirm one thing and that is, is the screen supposed to be 100% rocksteady.
For example my modern LCD does not flicker / move at all.
However the PVM has a very slight flicker almost like a vibration throughout most of the picture, it is subtle but there nonetheless, my question is, is this just normal CRT behaviour of should the image but 100% still?
Thnaks

What resolution are you using?
The flickering you're seeing is probably caused by the interlaced video signal if you're outputting at higher than 240p.
I might be wrong though, I've never connected a 15khz RGB monitor to my PC.

Are you using GroovyMAME or similar? Mine shakes when showing the Windows desktop, but is rock steady when running a game at the proper 240p resolution. Probably similar to the above comment - my desktop may be in 480i while most arcade games are around 224/240p and don't flicker in the least.
There's also a bunch of jumpers on the back of the 203 Rxi which can affect things like this to some degree...

Thanks for the replies guys, yeah I was running 640 x 480 and changed it as per your recommendation and it's sorted the issue out completely, I'm running retroarch through Arcade VGA card, next I will set Mame up.
Kind Regards
