I've managed to track down a 1chip-02 Snes pal but the issue is when I turn it off a weird electric discharge sound comes on the tv, starting with high volume and decreases down to nothing over a few seconds.
There seems to be no audio/video problems at all while playing. I'm using a RGB scart of high quality which works great with my other two snes. Tried using two different ac adapters with no effect.
Anyone have an idea what it could be?

Check which channel it's coming from, if both maybe a bad cap on a chip.
Either way sounds like a cap holding charge.
