Question about Dim PVM Picture

I acquired a PVM 14M2U a while ago and recently I was underwhelmed with the picture. When compared to my little Sony kv-13m30 the picture is less vibrant. Pvm's don't keep track of hours as far as I can see, and I don't know how many hours it has. Internally and externally it is very clean.
