This might be a really dumb question, but I'll ask anyways....
I wish to plug in a scart cable from a computer that will have 12v going to pin 8 and to pin 16 with a resistor. I'm told this is because it's scart standard and will tell the TV it's 4:3 and RGB. My question is, would this be accurate and/or cause any harm to the gscartsw_lite and connected device(s)? Thanks.

Re: safe voltage for gscartsw_lite
You won't damage your equipment if you adhere to the scart standard voltages. The gscartsw_lite is designed to handle those.
I don't believe the gscartsw uses the pin 8 and pin 16 input voltages at all. It will output 3v on pin 16 through its output scart ports, so when hooked up to a European television, it will switch to RGB output. I don't think it outputs anything on pin 8, as auto-switching/power on/aspect ratio select doesn't work through it.

IIRC the gscartsw-lite outputs 5v on one of the pins, so that stuff like sync strippers can work?
