Where to find 3.5mm audio jack with mini toslink?

I can’t find these anywhere, they are essentially only found in laptops. It’s a 3.5mm audio jack, but also has a mini toslink transmitter built in.

If anybody has any ideas on where to find these, let me know!

Unless you're trying to do something I don't understand. What are you trying to do (which btw, is information you always should provide when making a help request)?

You are definitely outputting a digital audio signal via the headphone jack and not analogue audio?

I think your best bet for a wider range of products will be to get a (rca) coax to optical converter, and attach a 3.5mm > rca plug adapter. This kind of thing in audio is just way more common with standard rca style plugs.(*wrong example... was not mini ...)

... Er yeah you might have to have an 3.5 <> rca plug adapter -> coax in to optical converter -> and then optical to mini optical plug adapter.

...Unless anyone can find something that has avoids the use of the plug adapters to make it a bit more compact/portable (requirement?)... sorry just realised used uk links and you're not uk - sure you can find similar


Alternatives:
If you are outputting analogue audio and wanting this converted to digital optical that is something else.
If I've gotten this all the wrong way round and you want to input a digital optical signal via (what is normally but not necessarily an analogue) 3.5mm jack this is something else and need to know whether the 3.5mm jack (and whatever that feeds) accepts a digital signal, or needs an analogue signal input.

I'm trying to add toslink in a 1001 psx where space is very limited on the backside.

I could wire up digital coax into a standard 3.5mm jack and then run that adapter etc. Something very simple. I'd still though like to find a source for these toslink connectors though.

I'm surprised you are finding receivers at all? I would assume all these jacks would be transmitters only.

Must have been added recently, as I was looking for these about 3 months ago and gave up. Just got a lot of 10

I've spent hours and hours trying to find these. And I'm still not sure what the correct term is for these.
