-Several consoles/home computers (Amstrad 6128+, CoreGrafx, Philips VG8235 modded to MSX2+ etc.) hooked up to the BVM via RGB Scart and Sync Strike
-The Philips was modded to MSX2+ a while ago and works great for example with a Samsung led tv and several crt tv:s. (all PAL)
-There was something fishy regarding the sync on the Philips after modding (VDP was changed): picture did not work at all with the samsung and with a crt TV the picture was aligned to the right and white was yellow. Got advice from the MSX gurus and a filter (cap and resistor) was added to the sync "line" on the pcb after this -> seemed to fix the problem and as it now works with the aforementioned tv:s (especially the Samsung), I thought it was ok...
But, when the Philips is hooked up to the BVM the following happens:
1. When the SYNC is set to External in BVM's OSD menu (-> the setting with which all the other devices work 100%), the picture "rolls" both vertically and horizontally, colors seems to be ok
2. When the SYNC is set to Internal in BVM's OSD menu the picture stabilises, but with the following defects: picture is (again) aligned to the right and white is yellow :O
I don't know enough regarding the internals of the BVM (internal vs. external sync) so cannot really think of the reason, why this happens. Is the sync level somehow (still) wrong on the Philips? Why cannot the Sync strike fix it, if that is the case?
All help highly appreciated
