I would like to build an RGB circuit for my N64 using a THS7316. I was mainly going by this guide, but from other sources I gathered some things that are not mentioned here. For instance, for some reason the datasheet for the 7316 mentions an additional 22uF cap on pins 4+5, in parallel to the 0.1uF one, which is not used in that guide. Does this improve image quality? Also, some people have mentioned removing a bunch of capacitors or resistors from the N64 board itself, what is the purpose of that?
And about the resistors for the video output, in the guide it says that the smallest possible tolerance should be used. I found 75 ohm resistors with 0.1% tolerance online, but they seem to have a smaller-than-usual watt rating at 0.25W (vs 0.6W or so on 1% resistors). Can the 0.1% parts be used without issue?
