Game Cube Kirby Air Ride?...

Post by dave4shmups »

Anyone played this title? The main complaints I've read about it are that the controls are waay too simple, and that it's boring. Anyone have a different opinion about this game?

I can't wait for the Kirby game for the Game Cube to come out:

Looks incredibly fun from the video; no word on when it's due out here, though. :(

Kirby platformers often seem to come out late in the life of a Nintendo console... I'm hoping this one will be 4-player simultaneous.

Haven't played Air Ride.

Yeah, that video has definitely captured my interest. I've got Kirby Air Ride, but I mostly picked it up (for cheap) to fill out my Kirby collection. I haven't really bothered to spend much time with it yet. Perhaps I'll get a chance this weekend to check it out.

I don't think I'd seen that one before... Seems to be a lot of Super Smash Bros Melee influence in there (not surprising, in fact given the fact that it's HAL there's a good chance it's on the same engine). Either way, it looks like it'll definitely be one to pick up when it comes out.

Air Ride wasn't the worst game ever, but it wasn't anything special. All of the Mario Kart games are better.

That new Kirby looks totally awesome.

It does, but it's still "TBA" for the Game Cube, and I can't find any new info on it. :(

Air Ride *might* have been better if it didn't have the one-button-does-all control scheme. A=boost and brake, so doing the burst is mostly done in corners.

Mario Kart is still a better game by far though.
