I've been looking at the SLG3000 and other scanline generators for a long time now. The monitor I have in my arcade only takes DVI (I know, i messed up)
and it plugs into my videocard on my PC that has DVI-D, DVI-I, HDMI, Display.
Is there an optimal way for me to do this. A work around, of converters.
I've been looking into scalers / converters. I really am having a ton of trouble getting a grasp of things.
Understanding getting SLG3000 working with DVI

Re: Understanding getting SLG3000 working with DVI
if you are hooking up to a PC, can't you just have the PC generate the scanlines? why would you need the SLG3000 in the chain if you aren't using original hardware? (are you playing with emulators? or is it for native PC software and games?)animersmasta wrote:I've been looking at the SLG3000 and other scanline generators for a long time now. A bit of both. Wanted everything to be able to have scanlines. Like if I'm using Daphne, Mame, Demul, pc engine games, and etc to newer games like Shovel KnightBlair wrote:if you are hooking up to a PC, can't you just have the PC generate the scanlines? why would you need the SLG3000 in the chain if you aren't using original hardware?
