Damn....looks like you get the Psikyo packs separated but that's still awesome that you all are getting pretty much every non-Cave shooter on the PS2. We need that sort of support here in the US...
And why would the site be fake? It's the official website for the company that's been localizing most of the recent PAL shooters.

Luckly bastards!!!!theevilfunkster wrote:Budget PAL release Raiden 3, Homura, Gigawing Generations and all the psykio stuff, SWEET!!!
I'd expect to see all of these on play.com for around £10. As for yoko/tate and 60htz, XII Stag (which 505 released) had 60htz and tate modes so why not? Except maybe Gigawing.

505 is indeed that hardcore company that localised XII Stag to PAL with full 60hz and Tate modes with hi score saving, for a budget price in the EU.
So now it seems PAL gamers who want to save money can hold off importing any of these if they want to,
Raiden III
Gigawing Generations
Homura <- WOW, that little gem was unexpected.
Dragon Blaze
Sol Divide
Sengoku Blade
Sengoku Ace
(some of these titles we've heard earlier about 505 planning to do)
Seems like the EU market for shmups is becoming a force to be reckoned with. Although I'm sure Raiden III will also see North American release eventually... but the rest? It's a win for the PAL shmups fanbase.
EDIT: topic title edited slightly to reflect the contents of this big confirmation thread.

Sorry, the Raiden III comment was just random optimism on my part, from my perception of Raiden as a "brand" that can still make money in the west. Isn't it one of the few other than Gradius, Galaga & R-Type that's still a household name among gamers?

Great. So I'll be able to buy Samurai Aces and Dragon Blaze without buying Sengoku Blade (of which I already own the Saturn version) and Sol Divide (which I don't want to have) at the same time, all for a budget price. For that price I'll almost certainly pick up Homura, too. (I'm not interested in it enough to import it.)

the fact they they always come on CDs rather than dvds does suck, ive had my laser burn out on me once already, and CDs arent always compatible with HD Loader, although Xii stag and Gunbird collection worked fine, psyvariar, dragon storm and strikers dont.
its a shame the titles dont get the respect they deserve but its nice being able to get them so cheap rathert han having to pay import prices.
shops like Virgin and HMV tend to sell them for 10£ each and often have them in the 2 games for £15 section.

Fuck yeah! GWG and Dragon Balze are definite buys, Sengoku Blade is a possibility as I wasn't too overawed with the Saturn version, and Homura... I haven't paid much attention since I lack the necessary funds to mod and import for my PS2; but I guess I'm gonna have to do some reading up. I popped into Gamestation this lunchtime, and also saw Psyvariar Complete for £9.99 - didn't even know this had come out over here. This a recent addition, or did I miss it completely?

Psyvariar Complete has been out for ages. Pop into Woolworths, Tesco or MVC and chances are you'll find it even cheaper.Marc wrote:Fuck yeah! If you can find a site that does, or better yet a local Aussie reseller who can sell these games direct to the public, please post it up here!Cranky wrote:Damn it! They don't post to Australia. I'll have to look around and find a site that does. Game Jam will post downunder but don't have either of those gems.
I don't mind buying imports, but I'd love to support anyone who goes to the effort of PAL releases as a priority.

I've just been looking and come up with absolutely nothing. Not a sausage! I'm sure they will be all over the place soon enough though. I can't walk into a games shop without seeing a copy of XII Stag. I actually picked up a copy for ten bucks (about four quid to the poms out there).elvis wrote:If you can find a site that does, or better yet a local Aussie reseller who can sell these games direct to the public, please post it up here!
