fried Sanwa SWN-7E / 7F power supply- need same size PSU

Post by kemical »

my old Sigma's PSU burnt out, trying to track down any +5 (7a) -5 (1a) +12 (1a) PSU that has the same form factor (or smaller), It's a 7E but I think the 7F is same size (& only 110v)

It measures 6 1/4" x 3 7/8" x 1.5"

or approximately 158 x 92 x 32 mm

so the thing is pretty small for an ancient switching power supply, I have a Wei-Ya PO31 PSU but its too large to fit back into the Sigma case.

Any ideas?

I also tried making repairs- replaced all the caps that had dried and burst, plus a couple small resistors near a scorch mark on the PCB. No luck, makes a buzzing sound and smoke when plugged in

If I remember correctly, the Mean Well RT-65 or RT-85 are drop-in replacements for Sanwa SWN-7E/7F.
