Extron Crosspoints with dimly lit LED's

Post by xga »

Does anyone here use a 450 Plus or Ultra model of the Extron Crosspoint Matrix switchers in their set-up?

I've started playing with a couple of Extron Crosspoint Matrix switchers (one is a 1616 Ultra and the other a 3232 450 Plus) and I've noticed that on both of them, two of the output buttons (that are not in use) are dimly lit. One is green (audio) and the other is red (RGBHV) and they are not the same outputs on both devices. I've performed a full reset on both of them and it makes no difference, the two output buttons both stay dimly lit. Pressing the RGBHV or Audio buttons make the respective button turn off though. I'm starting to think that this is normal behaviour, but it would be great if someone can confirm if this also happens with their Extron Crosspoint Ultra or 450 Plus. You might need to turn the lights off to see them dimly lit if your room is bright. The 300 series models are different and the buttons are not illuminated.

In the image, both input 1 and output 1 are both brightly lit on the 450 Plus model. Output 20 and 24 are much dimmer as you can see.
