Kenichi Takano - CEO aka Big Boss of Cave and owner of business, yeah? I suppose he worked hard enough during his Toaplan youth days so he earned his position of being "just a man in suit above others", right? Whatever
Tsuneki Ikeda - "actual" leader of Cave, what a weirdo man, isn't he? Just remember his cartoon paper decoy in office they held, wtf. So he is still there, but what does he do nowodays? Back in days he was programmer, director and many other things...but now, just a face of a company, or does he participate in those questionable smartphone releases on late years etc.? Reminds me how Goichi "51" Suda havent directed and written a plot for GHM games since No More Heroes, instead becoming more like just a ceo.
Makoto Asada - left for .5pb, should be happy making some visual novels, yeah? As he was just a producer mostly, maybe we should not follow him.
Junya Inoue (Joker Jun) - left Cave long ago, but returned for Deathsmiles II etc. So now he works in manga field instead. Considering that he shifted too much (imo) into lolicon industry, maybe it's okay he went away. Still would be curious to see if he'll do new stuff in a way he was doing that in earlier days.
Takashi Ichimura - mr. programmer. Is he still in Cave or left?
Hiroyuki Tanaka - mr. designer (especially levels and enemies?). Is he still in Cave or left?
Shinobu Yagawa - holy church of Yagawa will answer me everything i should not know, how am i supposed to keep those hidden knowledges?! Anyway, as in case with IKD, YGW doesnt participate in gamedev actively anymore yeah? He should finally open his arcade center, then.
Hideki Nomura - mr. designer. Is he still in Cave or left?
Akira Wakabayashi - mr. designer. Is he still in Cave or left?
Please fill out what you know and whom i forgot/didn't know.
edit:
I forgot Tanoshimasu Co. thread! Okay, according to that:
Hiroyuki Tanaka (mr. designer) went there.
Hiroyuki Kimura (mr. director on some late titles) went there.
Yugo Fujioka (mr. programmer on some late titles) went there.
Hope they'll do okay with their debut. I tried to sent them an idea, but guess my english post together with japanese google translate translation was very bad. I adviced them to use following on touchscreen: instead of making us press some virtual buttons, let us change weapon by making a two-finger tap. So when you usually shoot you do it with one finger, and the very moment you add touch of 2nd finger that would do weapon change, instead of shitty attempts of trying to press virtual buttons and dont die.
Cave key devs and where they went
Re: Cave key devs and where they went
IKD is vice-president of CAVE and has been for a while. Gothic wa Mahou Otome is the first mobile game he was heavily involved with as a designer but the day-to-day operation of that game is being handled by a guy named Mamoru Furukawa; he's been producing their mobile games since the gala-kei days but has contributed to their arcade games here and there, most notably as the guy behind Ibara Kuro. (He got his start at Technosoft and worked on their later stuff starting from TF4.)
Ichimura and Wakabayashi were also involved with Mahou Otome from the beginning and are still actively working on the game.
CAVE recently announced a new mobile game in collaboration with Joker Jun but from the sounds of things it'll be closer to a straight RPG.
YGW's still there and he still works on game-related projects but his work is primarily technical and not design-related. (Ichimen Bancho was pretty much all him, for reference.)
