What is this watermark?

It's killing me.

I used to think it was just the watermark of a person who scanned a bunch of old PC-Engine stuff, but after seeing it on some physical copies of games I've been thrown for a loop.

"AV"? "ADV"?

So, old gamers, what is this watermark? What does it stand for?

It's NEC Avenue's logo, I'm pretty sure. I always see it on stuff they published.

On the USA region TTI released CD-Rom2 & Super CD-Rom2 titles, you'll see the "can't miss it" TTI logo quite easily.
