So I bought an HDMI cable on ebay and a connector is kinda dirty at one spot, like there is something dried on it and it won't go away.
Not alot of info on that on the net, someone recommended using a toothbrush, but yeah I want to clean the connector to make the connector better, not worse...
Any way to clean an HDMI connector whitout chemicals?

I would use alcohol and toothbrush. Just push the bristles into the connector in and out, don't go overkill on it. Don't do side to side movements.
You also could put alcohol on a female hdmi connector then proceed to plug and unplug the connector multiple times.

No it's a male HDMI connector cable, the dirt is on the top where most of the gold plating is not inside where the pins are.

Hum got some of the dirt off, but it looks like stains are not coming off, oh well I just went ahead and hooked it as it is. Thanks.

Think a high pressure washer would do the trick?GeneraLight wrote:lolaccaris wrote:Wipe it off with a wet paper towel

A small amount of C4 detonated against the outer connector shell should do the trick.
