Here's a handy list of all the Xbox 360 shmups currently playable on Xbox One via Backward Compatibility. Hopefully we get more games coming up in the near future.

Needs some Cave disc release love. To be honest though I don't recall anything on the One that I want to play - so I'm staying with my late E revision of the 360 for now.

Aegis Wing, Centipede & Millipede and Shred Nebula are also backwards compatible.

Omega Five today! Beautiful game that I am ashamed to say I had totally forgotten about. Love that they are still working on the obscure titles.

Strania question: anyone know how to get the Side Vower DLC playable on Xbox One? I get a message about checking my game library to download, but that only installs the base game.

Thrilled to see the game was added though, I really enjoy Strania.

To install any owned DLC for any X360 game, go to My Games and Apps, highlight the game in question, then press the Menu button (the one with the 3 lines). Select "Manage game" and you'll be taken to a menu where you can uninstall it, or install/uninstall any DLC you own.

If the DLC does not appear there, then you don't own it on the current account.

KOF Sky Stage has been added to XB1 backwards compatibility today. Not a shmup, but Child of Eden as well!
