Are Gundam shmups in existence?
Are they good?
Gundam shmups?
Re: Gundam shmups?
Aside of Space Invaders themed Gundam for PSX there's SD Gundam Neo Battling on the arcade/MAME
Re: Gundam shmups?
Cybattler is kind of a gundam shmup even though it isn't an actual officially licenced gundam game.
It does kinda suck unfortunately though.

Cybattler far from sucks, though neither it is a classic. It could use some more polish, but its overall a well-enough crafted game to be playable, as well as unique enough to be worth a look.
Certainly worth it at least for fans of mechs, humanoid player avatars in shmups, and melee combat.

Colony drops, funnels, red bosses. The gundam "spirit" lives in lots of shmups.

Re: Gundam shmups?
There's actually three Gundam games on the Saturn (one based on the original series, two others on Zeta) that alternates between pedestrian levels and autoscrolling space sections, but they're all kind of goofy.
