1st 1cc!
1st 1cc!
i got my first 1cc yesterday!!
mushihimesama (on easy.....hey im not THAT good)
also, if anyone knows, i had about 5.8 million points during the last boss fight, but had over 16 million afterwards. i had 2 lives left, do you get points for leftover lives after the game?
gunna practice on easy for a few more days then try to 1cc normal difficulty later.

Congrats. I suppose you mean "Original" mode?
Just for your information though, most around here don't consider beating a game on anything below the default difficulty/extend/etc. setting as a "real" 1CC, although as long as you clarify if you've adjusted anything you shouldn't be given too much of a hard time. Once you start playing on defaults, submit a score or two in the High-Score forum.

Way to go mirkvid.
I remeber years ago I often tried to 1cc some old shmup on easy settings too.
But, like BulletMagnet, I can highly recommend you to play on defaults and then jump over to the highscroeboard. So, you don't have to try so hard for 1cc, just try to increase your highscore step by step. This way shmups have become more enjoyable for me.

Gradius 1 is the only 1CC I ever done on defaults and thats because I never died once.
And then there is a 2nd loop so I Dont even know if it counts at all
Congrats though, I certainly find Easy settings on most shmups a real challenge. But I play normal settings because its the required standard.
Bullet mania shmups are just ridiculous for me. Mushi 1-3 is like..hmmm, ridiculous. Fair play to those that can play them though.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
i started playing mushihimesama on normal last night. i can usually make it to level 3, but half way into it, it gets pretty hard.......wasnt long ago that i could only make it to lvl 3 on easy tho'. hopefully i can 1cc normal in the next few weeks. (if i can get away from F.E.A.R. and Shadow of Colossus)

there's no easy/normal/etc... there's Original, Maniac, and Ultra... which one are you referring to?
I've ALMOST 1CC'd the game on Arrange mode, if it weren't for that lousy final-final boss. :/

I think he's referring to the difficulty adjuster in the options menu, as opposed to the 3 in-game modes.Zweihander wrote:there's no easy/normal/etc... there's Original, Maniac, and Ultra...
I think that'd probably hold true for about half this site, myself included, heh heh.I've ALMOST 1CC'd the game on Arrange mode, if it weren't for that lousy final-final boss. :/

Yeah, no shame there. I don't mess with the difficulty settings, but i do set lives to 5 in all Cave games. ^^;; ...and Ikaruga... DAMN YOU, Cave & treasure....howmuchkeefe wrote:Congratulations on yer 1cc!![]()
Easier mode or no, it still required discipline and skill on your part.

If you're getting into stage 3 then you're already ready to start posting in the high scores thread. See you there :)mirkvid wrote:i started playing mushihimesama on normal last night. i can usually make it to level 3, but half way into it, it gets pretty hard.......wasnt long ago that i could only make it to lvl 3 on easy tho'. hopefully i can 1cc normal in the next few weeks. ....Personally I find stage 3 to be easier than stage 2....
Hey, it's only with practice that progress is achieved.
Go on and try Original mode (or Arrange Mode if you trust your bullet-dodging skills
).
I'd also reccommend Espgaluda for your next 1CC. On default settings - while the end boss is far from a pushover - the game is pretty laid back compared to other Cave games. Getting to at least Stage 5-1 shouldn't be a problem.
