Composite to VGA - No Input Lag

Post by Scumbum »

Is there a low priced composite to VGA converter that doesn't have input lag ? For playing NES on an LCD monitor .

Sorry if this has been asked a lot ,

If your requirement is no input lag at all, then the cheapest way to get an NES on an LCD monitor is the hi-def NES mod, which is $120 plus the cost of having someone install it for you. It outputs HDMI (which can be converted to DVI with a $3 adapter), and if you really need VGA, no-latency adapters can be had for something like $20-30 that will do it for you.

I can't think of any other solution that would be cheaper than that and both correctly handle 240p and not have any latency. If you're willing to accept a few frames of lag and possibly iffy 240p handling, there are other options that might be cheaper.

So there is VGA converters in the $20-$30 range with no lag? Which ones ?

I'd like to leave me NES original .
