Thanks for creating a thread! Was thinking about playing this, but didn't feel enthusiastic enough to actually make a scoreboard. This gave me the impetus to dabble with it, though.

Too bad the checkpoint milking takes about as long as the rest of the game combined. It is not as trivial as it is in Insector X, though, I actually messed up a few times. It's also extremely hard to get every enemy in all the stages, achieving a maximum score in this game would be quite an achievement. And at least the final boss is worth 100,000 points in Chuka Taisen, you don't get anything in Insector X.

You also earn the third score-based extend at 660,000 points, not 600,000 points, just like in Insector X. Don't know about the fourth one, but even if you can get one it'd be worthless since you would only pass the threshold after beating the game.
