DOOM ate Hibachi's lunch once, without asking.

Are we talking about the FPS game, Doom? if so..... read the guidelines or GTFO shmups.com.

If i'm mistaken, and there's actually a shmup called "Doom" that I'm unaware of, then... WELCOME TO SHMUPS!

Doom is the final boss of Ketsui, which happens to be a shmup. It is also most likely the thoughest final boss ever seen in a game. Of course, someone could tell us: "But look, i really had an hard time in defeating the final boss of Atelier Marie!".

In that case, i would suggest to have a look at some replay with our beloved Doom in action. Subjective or not, i challenge everyone to find something thougher.

If I'm not mistaken, DOOM is the true last boss of Ketsui.

Where can I see this Doom in action? (anyone have any videos?)

For a 1LC, I can't imagine anything harder than Mushi's last guy, or DDPDOJ's last guy.

The whole "you need 4 guys to beat mushi's last boss" still pisses me off. Terrible design.

Edit: found some videos. It at least looks possible. Whoever was playing was incredibly good, but it still looks doable. DDPDOJ's last guy on the other hand seems to be impossible for a 1LC. (has it been done?)

How's the rest of Ketsui's music? The boss music was pretty good.

There's a couple of replays of it... most are very, very big though (IE - the whole game). I'm sure he will appear in the upcoming DVD though, so just buy that. :)

The entire score to Ketsui is fantastic - if you liked DDP:DOJ's soundtrack, this one will blow you away. My personal favorite track is Stage 3, but they're all just excellent. Pick this soundtrack up ASAP, my friend

well the doj and ketsui soundtracks are on the same soundtrack, so if you get one you get the other by default.

havent played either true final boss, but i would guess id suck more against doom, because the speed and complexity of the patterns. doom also does the same thing as the mushi boss with regard to bombs, shoots out its own bombs and they nullify each other.

I thought Hibachi was the last boss on the second loop in all of the pachis. Is this true? If so that's 3 against 1 I'm voting for Hibachi. I thought Mushi's ultra mode boss was supposed to be more difficult than Doom anyway.

Oh yeah. What about Do Donpachi DAI-OU-JOU Black Label. Hibachi has got to be even worse in that one. Doubt very many people have played or even seen that one though.

Edit: Oups didn't saw the Chtimi post sorry

people seems not aware of it, but...

...there is a worst boss
well 2 boss in fact ;)

the dual Hibachi from the Deat Label DDP DOJ (PS2), but not the one from the first loop, because tehy restrain their bullet shots,

for those who don't know there is a second loop in Deat Label, and at the End of it the dual Hibachi will unleash their full power, it is monstruous from what I read on 2ch...

.. no one passed those beasts until now

Do Donpachi DAI-OU-JOU Black Label is probably EASIER since you get more hypers. Black Label is NOT HARDER than White Label.

Zakk showed me a replay of ISO beating the final form of HIBACHI in Black Label with no deaths.

Totally imho:

HIBACHI > MUSHI'S TLB (Ultra Mode) > DOOM

But my favourite is DOOM...

Anyone have any videos of the meaner Hibachi? I've seen the standard DDPDOJ hibachi, and the boss-rush mode hibachi. And I've seen them both beaten, buth with several deaths.

Has anyone 1-lifed this? Anyone have any videos of that?

I don't know what the "meaner" Hibachi means. The thread is Hibachi (DOJ) vs DOOM. Not if you like FPS or dual HIBACHIS with explosive cheese wheels of DOOM.

I have a video "ps2ddpdeath.mpeg" (Death Label) that I grabbed from the files directory of Ikaruga.co.uk before they took everything down, which has two Hibachis "heads" after the second form is destroyed. Does anyone know if they're at full power in this clip, or still holding back?

I did manage to grab a video of the second loop of Ketsui off Featheredwings that has Doom. The last pattern reminds me of Espgaluda (vertical incasings instead of horizontal), but yeah, that shit is MEAN.

The patterns of doom are pretty well understood by the top players. The last attack is brutal, but you can exploit it and force gaps to appear in the streams of bullets. There is even a trick to make the bullets spread out in the final attack of the true last boss of mushihime sama. Unfortunately, there are no easy routes for the last attack of the hibachi. I think it is a harder boss than doom because even if you know what you are doing, you are in for a very rough time.

You can't "force" gaps to appear in DOOM, but you try to move into them. The last switches to two rotating bullet spawn points that move in opposite directions at different speeds. Then at some point they both reverse directions.

There is a certain movement needed for Hibachi's last attack. If a programmable controller can do it...
