California Extreme 2016 - July 16 and 17
NorCal's resident pinball and "classic" arcade game (and rhythm games too, I suppose) expo is in a little over a month. Who's planning on going, and additionally who's planning to bring their cabs?
As always, official site is here. Pre-registering gets you a few perks, but I've enjoyed myself just fine for the past 9 years by paying at the door; the only noteworthy perks are getting in half an hour earlier and not having to queue for ATD reg.

Down for TGM2+ and maybe S1945-II. Dunno about having bottlegarage at an expo tho, with everyone constantly playing it and keeping the starting rank high.

Garegga is fine, I have custom ROMs that reset the rank after every credit.

I'll be there. Obviously wasn't planning on bringing any boards or anything. Just plan to enjoy myself and meet up with various people throughout the days.

Re: California Extreme 2016 - July 16 and 17
Yes, it was great to be back at this year's 20th annual California Extreme show. Got to try out the cool beta version of Skycurser running firmware version 2016.07.14 (as shown on the bottom right-hand screen) on the new Linux-powered Airframe PCB platform on fellow shmupper gibbous' Astro City candy cab (even got to see the William's Robotron 2084 creator, Eugene Jarvis, play a single session of Skycurser late Saturday night in person -- priceless indeed!). Three completed stages with a end-stage boss for each one also. No Cave arcade shmups to be found this year. Oh well. There's always next year, right?
It was awesome to see a few other arcade shmups like Video System Co.'s Aero Fighters, Namco's Tenkomori Variety Shooting, Capcom's Forgotten Worlds & Taito's Night Striker up running in fine form.
A new pinball game was shown including Stern's Ghostbusters (based off of the original 1984 flick of the same name) with a razor-sharp DMD display to boot as well.
