Xselect D4 with supergun

Post by tchoub »

Hi,
I am trying to use my Xselect D4 with my test setup, which is the following:
mak supergun > Gonbes 8200 (vga out) > L8008 8" LCD monitor.
This setup is fine most of the time but for some PCBs, I am having some sync issues.

The mak supergun has a euro SCART output, and is working fine on my tv.
I built a euro/jap SCART adapter, using instructions found here:
http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/euro-rgb-to-j ... converter/

My new setup is then:
mak supergun > euro SCART out > euro to jap SCART adapter > SCART input of Xselect D4 > VGA out > L8008 8" LCD monitor.

I am only getting a black screen with white pulsing horizontal lines. I double-checked the SCART adapter, and it should be fine.
I tried to check for an hidden XSelect D4 menu, but I couldn't find anything.
The XSelect D4 was bought second-hand, but was sold as tested and working.

Is there anything else to do on the XSelect unit for SCART support ? Is there anything wrong in the setup mentioned above ?

Thanks !

The Xselect is a trancoder, not a linedoubler and your LCD most likely requires at least a 31khz signal on it's VGA input.
