For some years now, I have been developing a shmup and am looking for a betatest before releasing it as freeware.
Especially I´m interested if it runs well on your PC and the controls work and feel fine.
It´s an arcade-twin-stick-arena-shooter with endless looping multiscreen-playfield, inspired mostly by games of the Commodore Amiga Era (Transplant, Xenon 2), Asteroids and a bit Fraxy.
Zerocron is a one-person-project (besides the music) and my first larger one, so please be gentle

The most work went into gameplay and calculating all those lovely pixel-explosions. The graphics are pixeled by hand, mixed with digital backgrounds and 3d-photographed-asteroids.
It has 99 quite short levels, no lives but endless continues, two endbosses, some more midbosses, a shop, collectable bonus-weapons and shields.
I guess it´s not terribly innovative, but I hope you´ll agree it features solid and very unique gameplay.
Until now it´s Windows only and should run smooth on older PCs (Core2Duo). Controls are either WASD+mouse or joypad (dual analog). There´s only steer, aim, shoot and turbo.
My current todo-list:
Extro is missing
More music would be nice
Sound effects and volume need finetuning
Bosses may be to easy since my last changes
Credit roll is boring and will be replaced
