long time reader here, who never had an account in this forum. But now i have a problem with my modded N64, so here comes my first Post! Yay!
Maybe someone can help me:
Last week i got an RGB modded PAL N64. So i hooked it up to my Loewe Arcada 8684zp CRT (which is my main TV for gaming) and was amazed!
The colors and the sharpness (if one can ignore the muddiness of an N64) of the RGB Signal look great on it.
But the Problem is, that i got some "flickering" (not sure if thats the correct term) lines at the top of the screen. Heres an image and a "badly made" video from Goldeneye64. You can see the flickering green lines at the top of the screen:

The lines are not always green. The colors depend on the image content at the top. For example, Mario Party 2 got some blue flickering going on in the intro.
When the picture is black at the top, i get no flickering at all. I already tested another cable, but it still didn't work.
Besides all my other consoles are hooked up with RGB, but they don't have this problem.
I already messed around with the geometry settings on my CRT but it didn't really help. I also changed the Vertical Position, so that i can't see the top lines.
But thats not a good final solution.
I am also pretty sure that it is not the fault of the modded N64, because i already hooked it up to another CRT(B&O) and also a flat Screen (Sony). There where no flickering lines. But as i already said before, the Loewe is my primary gaming TV.
Did anybody every came across this problem? Are my RGB-cables too badly made for the Loewe?
Thanks!
(Btw: Sorry for my bad english, its not my first language...)
