Interesting. Pretty cool stuff.
The video mentions sound design as well as composition. Do you also work with sound effects?

Re: Want to compose for a Shmup!
Oh you're welcome.
I already have two guys for music composition, in my game. One of them has been going through some stuff lately, so I'm not sure if he's still up for it, though. Me and my pixel artist are going for a kind of 16-bit look (some of his previous work, for an example), so CPS2 or Mega Drive/PC-98 style Fm Synth is the kind of thing we're looking for. I'm not sure if we need anybody else at the moment, but if you know anything about 16-bit sound devices, I'll keep you in mind as the project progresses.
I have absolutely no one for 16-style bit sound effects though. I'd be curious if you know anything about composing, say, sound effects that would feel at home on a Super Nes or Mega Drive/Genesis, or if you know somebody who does.
Of course, my games are free hobby projects that I intend to put on my portfolio, once I'm out of college. If I need to pay for anything, I do so out of my college allowance, which is not much. Most of the people working with me are doing so for free, out of mutual interests and goals. So a professional job or pay is something I cannot offer, at the moment.

I'd definitely be able to help out with creating 16 bit SFX. If you'd like, feel free to add me on skype at k_polkr. I'd love to discuss the details of your game with you and see where I could help out!Squire Grooktook wrote:Oh you're welcome.

That sounds fantastic. I will add you on skype now, but would it be fine if we spoke in a day or two? I'm currently studying for an exam, so it probably wouldn't be for the best if I engaged in a lengthy conversation now. I should be free starting on Thursday.Polkritude wrote: I'd definitely be able to help out with creating 16 bit SFX. If you'd like, feel free to add me on skype at k_polkr. Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Hi there,
I sent you an email via your website so just double checking if it went through or not. I'm in need of some audio for my game, Hyperstellar on mobile and PC.
